Vacation_2002

We took this trip toward the End of Sept. through the 1st. part of Oct.. Cheryl, Patty, Randy and I went to Randy's brother's guest ranch in Shell, Wyoming (Ranger Creek Guest Ranch) and then to South Dakota. We visited Custer State Park and watched the Buffalo Round-Up and saw Mt. Rushmore.

Mike & Craig's Motorcycle trip 2002

Craig and I took a motorcycle trip across W. Virgina to Staunton Va. and visited some great kids, Brandon and Jessica Comisford. We then jumped on the Blue Ridge Parkway and followed it to Wytheville Va.. We headed home up Rt 77 to Beckley where we detoured through the New River Gorge. Something to see. Mother Nature at her best.

Mike's trip from Seattle Washington

I was dispatched to Everett WA. in early March, 2008 and was taken with the everlasting beauty of the Cascades, Beartooth, Wenatchee Mountain Ranges. What I had trouble doing was getting the camera to capture all that the eye could see. I hope that you enjoy these pictures just a little bit as much as I did being there. These are a must see in person.

If you wish to follow my route to and from there, here are the routes I took.

I picked up Rt 80 in Davenport, IA and took it to Rt 30 at Green River, Wy. I followed 30 to McCammon, Idaho just south of Pocatello. There I took Rt 86 west to Rt 84 all the way to Rt 82 in northern Oregon. I stayed on 82 up to Rt 90 and then on into Seattle. There I jumped on Rt 405 to Rt 5 north to Everett.

Coming Home I took Rt 2 to Wenatchee, WA (a beautiful Secondary Road) where I picked up a load of apples. Down Rt 28 to Interstate 90 and home. I stopped at Wall SD for my ole buddy and had a beer just for him. Here's to you Randy.

All of these trips were enjoyable and I look forward to many more.

But like anything in life, the most enjoyable times are when you can share that time with others.

My wife, Cheryl is my favorite travel companion (the sleeper) but anytime I can enjoy fun times with family or friends that time is so much more fun than being there and wishing they were. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.
